About Me

With more than 25 years of experience creating online products, I have extensive knowledge of user experience, design, usability, leadership & management, online marketing, interactive strategy, and branding governance.  My history includes working with B2B & B2C companies from both the agency and commercial perspectives.

THE LONGER, LESS RELEVANT, VERSION…

I started designing websites in 1994 when most people thought the internet was just AOL.   I spent many sleepless nights learning every trick in the book for Photoshop (before layers) and learned how to use HTML to turn it into a website.  With this set of skills, at that period of time, I easily found work after graduating from Florida State University and a full time career in designing for the web.

Prior to building online products I worked at Walt Disney World as Goofy (among other characters) and managed a pizza place.   I’ve lived in Orlando, San Francisco, Denver, Des Moines, and now the Chicago area with my incredible wife and daughter.  I’ve been fortunate enough to travel most states in the US, as well as Mexico, Canada, and many countries in Europe.

In my spare time I enjoy lots of biking on rail trails, 3D printing, and still playing video games 30 years after my first PlayStation.
