Scott Allen

President / CCO

Monkeyfoot Interactive’s founder, Scott Allen, specializes in interface development and usability. With a long history of creative experience with clients such as SPEED Channel, Disney, EarthLink, Coca-Cola, EA Sports, APM Terminals, and Summit Energy, Scott’s know-how is only exceeded by his passion for what he does.

Prior to founding Monkeyfoot, Scott was VP of Creative Services for MindComet, an interactive marketing and design agency based in Orlando, FL. Before that he was one of the original start-up employees for California-based IGN.com, where he spent eight years as Director of Design representing brand campaigns for Nike, Reebok, Mountain Dew, Universal, Visa, Nokia and Herbal Essences while managing art direction in both New York and San Francisco for the company’s content-based websites.

Scott is a recognized industry leader with more than 18 years experience in graphic and interface design, usability, interactive strategy, customer relationship management, and consumer marketing. His work continually combines the latest advances in both traditional and interactive media.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Studio Art from Florida State University.

Chris Rodgers

Sr Creative Director/CSS Guru

A seasoned director with nearly 12 years of experience, Chris has a passion for technology, presentation, strategy and branding that has enabled him to mold raw concepts into viable, successful solutions that exceed clients’ expectations. That passion has led him to dig-in on projects with some wonderful clients including NASCAR, Stirling Sotheby’s, Summit Energy, Florida Hospital, Disney, Wente Vineyards, UpperDeck, Speed Channel, Coca Cola, EarthLink, Game Tap, Flagship Studios, NC Soft and EA Sports.

Before coming aboard with Monkeyfoot, Chris had led several talented creative teams as an Art Director in the Orlando interactive agency scene. He also studied Graphic Design and Digital Media at the University of Central Florida.

Chris enjoys breathing life into new concepts, nurturing them through discovery and then getting his hands dirty working out the fine details to ensure the best experience. His ability to integrate and collaborate with a client’s internal team to get to know their business model and goals, has enabled him to deliver more intuitive solutions the way a partner would.

Peter Wright

CTO

Since entering professional development in 1988, Monkeyfoot’s CTO Peter Wright has built an enviable reputation as a world class developer, and development process expert. He is the author of more than a dozen best selling books on writing code, published in 6 languages worldwide, as well as the author of countless technical articles in print and online.

Prior to joining Monkeyfoot Pete spent the majority of his career as a consultant coding with, advising and leading teams at such household names as American Express, Credit Suisse, Reuters, Advance Newhouse and Enron. He also held the position of Vice President with Izea, building and leading the development team there in creating the worlds first two sponsored blogging platforms:PayPerPost and SocialSpark.

An expert in agile development methodologies, Peter specializes in recovering development projects in distress, and spends the majority of his hands on coding time today cranking out world class Ruby on Rails websites and best selling iOS applications for iPhone and iPad. Of his first two apps, one (Ding!) was featured on the front page of the Apple store within a week of release. The second, tapCheck, was featured in flying magazine PC Pilot and is rapidly becoming the industry leading mobile app for checklist navigation among virtual pilots.

Richard “Ochie” Flores

Sr Creative Director

Richard Flores has over 13 years of experience in the digital industry. His background in technology, user experience, and brand development have helped companies connect with their audience. Richard’s ability to merge traditional and digital campaigns have allowed him to work with a diverse list of clients including Disney, Habitat For Humanities, Hard Rock Cafe, McDonald’s, Stein Mart and YMCA.

Prior to Monkeyfoot, Richard worked at a couple Orlando-based agencies as an Art Director working on various projects and campaigns such as APM Terminals, Earthlink, Comcast, and Maxim. Before that, Richard worked as a design consultant for Motorola where he developed interactive modules for product campaigns and support.

David Martin

Sr Creative Director

To many, design is learned, to those who know David, it’s a lifestyle. Since as early as he can remember, David has seen the world naturally from a visual & experiential perspective and has applied that creative problem solving to exceed client objectives.

David believes that powerful & intelligent design cannot truly reach full potential without business insight, consumer awareness, and strategic execution (combined with stellar background music!), and that true inspiration happens through activities & fulfilling interactions outside the constraints of the work environment. He embraces color & pattern in his everyday life and finds excitement in contributing to innovative ideas that are catalysts for positive change.

In most recent years, he has focused his interests in the realms of branding, advertising, motion graphics, interactive, user experience, & creative team leadership. With his multi-layered toolbox, David has served as a team mentor and provided effective & award-winning results throughout the years for clients such as Disney, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Guess Watches, Pfister, NCsoft West, Bank of America, Harcourt, Florida Virtual Schools, SpeedTV, Summit Energy, Wente Vineyards, APM Terminals, Florida Hospital, and CBS Interactive. His most recent highlight was as a creative lead for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Online Brand overhaul which included 10 theme parks nationwide plus corporate. With over 14 years of experience and the collection of several award-winning projects, David offers the level of talent that is guaranteed to make a positive impact to any organization.

Karen Allen

VP of Operations

Monkeyfoot’s VP of Operations, Karen Allen, helps keep all the team members in line and makes sure the company stays up-to-date on all licenses and legal requirements. Before joining Monkeyfoot Karen was Director of Customer Services at IZEA where she created and maintained the company’s customer communication guidelines. Prior to that, Karen worked with many small businesses to help with their operational needs – from financial best practices to hiring requirements.
